Church Council President

Jill's passion at church is organizing the Wednesday Night meals, and being part of our church council - she loves to work with others and be part of a team. Jill and her husband Andy have five kids altogether that keep them busy. Jill is a home and architectural photographer, and in her free time you'll find her cooking a meal, spending time with her kids, and enjoying the occasional travel adventure.

Orrin is an active member of our congregation with a passion for singing in our church choir and participating in adult Bible education. He takes great pleasure in learning about Bible history and God’s word through his study groups. Orrin is a storeroom floor person at Minn-DAK. He and his wife Leslee have been happily married for over 29 years and have been blessed with three sons and four grandchildren. In his leisure time, Orrin enjoys musky fishing, bird watching, cooking, reading, a good movie and browsing the internet.

Heidi’s passion at church is the ability to worship with others and learn more of Christ and how he can help her maneuver this thing called life. Heidi has always loved being active in the music of the church. The phrase, "then sings my soul," really relates to her way of life. Heidi has been married to her husband Michael for 34 years. They have five children and eleven grandchildren, their newest grandchild just arriving this past November.

LYO Committee

Joel Herder is a retired schoolteacher. Joel joined council in 2022 to fulfill his desire to become more involved with the church. Joel serves on the LYO committee with a focus on encouraging more youth to get involved in church activities. He is married to his wife, Mel, and they have three adult children and four grandchildren. Joel and Mel like to travel whenever they can.

Kennedy Niska directs the Sanctuary Choir and coordinates the music schedule. He is excited about engaging members in music ministry through congregational singing and a variety of special music. Kennedy works as the elementary music teacher at Breckenridge Public Schools and teaches music lessons within the community. In his spare time, Kennedy enjoys hikes, bike rides, cooking, and planning trips.
